Wow I would've thought more people drove MT in EU as well...maybe it just goes to simplifying the product lines for cost savings?
Sure its a CTR but what are your guys' thoughts on these wheels? Konig Ultraforms.
They are 10lbs lighter than stock...and the simple 7-spoke gunmetal design compliments the busy lines of the car.
Plus they clear the BBK from brembo and wildwood haha.
Always been a fan of these Titan7's but were just a hair out of budget since they are forged and the non-forged options aren't any lighter than my current wheels lol.
shinjari - the simple 7 spoke reminds me of my cousin’s teg-R back in da day for some reason. his wheels were the factory white and different style but those wheels make the car look more traditional honda-R vehicle.. if dat makes no sense.. lol
got to da office, parked at my usual spot and as i was getting out of my GTI noticed a bird fly next to me appearing like it was in distress. so i look up, sure enough a faking bird nest right above my spot! mother burd trying to trick me to get my attention.
i backed up a spot and parked in the other corner. something about non edible burds..

The Konigs aren't bad, IMO the Titan7 are the best wheel I've seen on CivicX so far.
Kenchan those birds are just following you everywhere! Should get maintenance to remove that nest and install some spike strips.
Mike410b - Yeah the titan7's are great. I just don't think I can justify the $2k expense...plus they would likely require new tires due to me not wanting to stretch tires since the smallest they offer is a 18x9 +22 which is too aggressive. I need/want a 18x8.5 +35 or at best 18x9 +40ish.
Found a non-type-r with the konigs. I think they look pretty slick. Especially if I can get for a decent price like <$600 and would let me use my near new OEM tires still haha.
Prepping for this heat wave...its supposed to be 95+ today until at least Monday....sheesh. Glad I detailed the cars when I did.
Speaking of detail, the Miata was in bad shape. I wish I had a more aggressive clay bar as it took 2 passes to get all the contaminants out. But holy cow is it clean, white and buttery smooth now. Tried to take up close pics but sure is hard to show on white.
Left side with all the rail dust and oxidation. white after a clay and polish. Yes, each one of those specks is contaminant! It was ridiculous.
Used it as an example to show my son what a good detail can do. He was impressed/shocked.
Are they running a different offset, width, or spacers in the rear? Those look phat!
I can see that others are doing the same that I would do...go to a smaller diameter on the CTR. As soon as I started thinking about getting one, I factored that into the purchase. 20's with rubber bands are not the plan for the street.
alright finally home and gotz da tracking number for the lexan sheet and magnets.. now i just need da yellow vinyl to ship tonight for tomorrow delivery and i can make the owl eye ballz face.
tired as hell even though only 2 work days.. anyway im super glad itz da weekend and pizza tonight.
speak of da devil.. pos tpms system on GK confirmed it sucks. false alarm yet again and my wife could not get it to shut off. fixed it for her but should not happen from da start.
pulling out my STI in 50. going to be a nice relaxing drive.
afterwards will head out to lunch with my wife, run a few errands this pm and den make dem owl faces for my cars.
happy to report zero ants in my kitchen the last couple of days. i caulked a crack i saw an ant come out of last weekend and hoping dat was their entry way. not dat it really matters.. deyll find another way into da hauz if dey so desired. best is for my kids to keep tidy in the kitchen and rinse dishes and cups they used instead of just leaving dem in the sink. dey know better now.
also got a new fancy trash can which keeps things nice and tidy too. i didnt know how expensive dese trash cans can be.. wow.. costs more dan my cheezo casio watches i got recently. lol
Ash - didn't you sell the miata? Whats the back road ride now? Agree about the Konigs, clean look and super easy to maintain.
Kenchan - yeah trash cans are hilariously overpriced. Pretty bad when a receptacle for debris/rubbish costs more than an entry level watch.
Mike - damn sucks about your parents dogs. Sounds like they need to be trained better. I've had a dog/dogs in my life for the last 20+ years. Never once have I had an issue with them and a car or anything for that matter.
I did however have some local cat(s) use my GE car cover as a scratching post...so...thats why I'm a dog guy? lol.
Love both animals but unfortunately fairly allergic to cats. I can be around them but if I touch one and accidentally touch my face....its game over man GAME OVER! haha.
As for the Konigs, the guy is supposed to send me pics. He said "no marks besides from handling". I'm assuming that means no curb rash and only potential marks from mounting tires but we all know what happens we you assume. He said ~$650 shipped to me. Wheels are ~$205/ea new. So I'd save ~$170 + $~70 in taxes.
