Shop has had my FIT in four times for almost 30 days working on the horrible dashboard rattles and cannot fix them. District Factory Rep told me Honda cars are not designed to be driven on dirt road when I used a dirt road as part of the test drive as the shop wanted to show him how bad it rattled. That was two weeks ago. They are supposedly working on a buy back under lemon law but so far haven't heard back even though they told shop they would call me by last Friday.

Also, gas mileage in automatics is usually terrible. Do not buy a FIT. You will regret it. They are junky and Honda doesn't care.

You probably haven't heard back because you sound like one of those whiny douchebags that bitches and moans about every little detail about everything. Nobody wants to call you back because they know you're going to bitch in their ears that they haven't found a problem with you're car yet. You probably haven't cleaned the car in months, so its most likely all your mcdonalds wrappers and cigarette cartons rattling around that you hear.

Gas mileage is best reflected upon by driving style, so you probably beat the piss out of you're car and expect it to last forever because its got a warranty, settle down on the car

No offense but give this guy/girl a break. first, everyone's entitled to their opinion/statements/etc. That's what the forum is for more often then not. I think that if you shelled out or took a loan for a 16,000+ dollars, you have the right to complain all you want or not. Whether something gets done, that's another story, but it's no reason to jump down someone's throat like that.
I doubt something like a rattling under the dash will realistically qualify under lemon law guidelines - it seems they're giving you a run around of sorts.
And in terms of MPGs being low, well, how old is your fit? I know commonly the poorest MPGs you'll see are during that initial break in - my MPGs didn't see a boost until Around the 5000 mi. mark. Yes, driving style is part of it too, but you should still be seeing mid/high 20s, maybe low 30s, pretty consistently, but for the first few thousand miles I'd expect it'll be low, especially if you have the EPA ratings stuck in your head - those are guidelines and results always vary.
I wish you the best of luck with whatever happens - the Fit is a great car for many, but not for everyone. Maybe it just doesn't "fit" you.

07 fit

i tell u guys this much, i owned an 07 honda fit sport. i loved the ar in the summer, but it absolutely sucks monkey balls in the winter, i live in up state ny. the only complaints i have about it is the lack of handling on snowy roads, couldn't get over 30 mph with it on snow covered roads, and i had master window switch failure twice in one. failure in honda's unsealed switch which allowed moisture to corrode making fail, mine fail in the down position in the middle of winter. i couldn't afford the switch which costed $281 and there wasn't anyway to get the window up manually.

Well, David. The switch has officially had a recall since last year, and they'll replace it free of cost.

Any of the lighter Hondas like Civics and Fits suck in the winter. I think tires have a lot to do with it. My Odyssey can plow through anything, but it weights 4000 lbs and has good tires.

The gas mileage killer on my Fit is cold weather and short trips. Now that it Is warmer, my mileage ranges from 32 to 38 around town.
