Did you trade in a car when you bought your Fit?
I traded my 94' Mazda B2300 Pickup with 170,000 miles on it. I got $600 for it ($1000 - $400 in repairs). It was a good truck and we had a good run, but it could only seat two and the mpg was half what my Fit gets.
I do miss my truck (and my toolbox) some days though. I think it's a guy thing...

Buddyw - it a girl thing too - I traded in my 96 Ford Ranger XLT with 105,000 miles on it for my Fit and I really miss my truck. They only gave me $1000.00 for the truck because it had a lot of cosmetic damage but the engine was great and everything worked. I decide I did not want to hassel with two vehicles so traded it in. If I could do a re-do I would have kept it and drove it on days when I don't want to take the Fit out in bad weather. That truck got us to a lot of horse shows, hauled hay and grain to the barn and after our horse had to be put down due to old age - I just kept it because it was a great truck that never caused me any trouble.
Cat :x
I traded in my dinged up '97 Dodge Dakota 4 cyl. MT with 145K miles and got $1000.
The best thing was that as I was taking it to the dealer to get my new Fit, the clutch burned up about 3 miles away from the lot.
(They had already quoted me $1000 the day before).
I took my new Fit, handed them the key to the truck, and got out of there as quick as I could!

My '92 Corolla is my first car, so that's part of why I couldn't trade it...also, when I was joking around with the salesman, I said I could probably only get $200 if I traded it in anyway. He didn't laugh or say anything, so I figured I was probably right. Plus it runs perfectly, and that's worth more than $200 to me. It's got some chips and a couple little rust spots, but with all the new parts I've put in it, I could probably get at least $700 if not $1000 for it.
yeah, i sold my integra for 3200 with my mugen mf10ls
so really i only got 2k for the car itself heh
but still it got me my fit.if i knew i was getting a fit, i would have kept the wheels. but i thought i was going to an s2k.

No, I replaced a 1988 Samurai with the Fit and my brother wanted the Samurai for camping, fishing and offroading. I figured the Samurai wasn't worth anything to the dealer and my brother has been lusting after the Sammy since I bought it. I sold it to him for $400. It was great value and an incredible able off-road vehicle. I'll miss it but the Fit is much more practical.
The great thing about the Sammy was the convertible tops. I had 4 or 5 different tops for the thing (full, bikini, duster, windjammer etc.).

I traded a 2006 Saturn ION 2 to get my Fit. Of course, I was way upside-down; I only got $8500 for the Saturn.
I was going to wait until later in the year to find another car, but I guess my impatience got the better of me. I was so itching for a safer car, namely something with ABS and side airbags.
Payments are up, but I guess it will be worth it.

i sold my 1988 toyota celica alltrac / gt-four for $4000.00.
it had 3rd gear crunch, burned oil, needed a new turbo, overheated during idle (needed a new radiator fan), i installed a TRD twin plate street/track clutch that wouldn't allow for the release spring to fit so the release bearing would rattle when you depress the clutch, and the passenger side lock & window controls were busted. I F'ING LOVED THAT CAR... the new owner was completely beside himself because he never knew they existed, in the US anyway. if i could trade my Fit for another, healthy, alltrac then i would do it in a heart beat

I traded in my 06 kiwi metallic Element for my 08 Fit sport auto. I so miss my element...but needed something better on gas and lower monthly payments. Which the fit fit so perfectly. Trade in on the element was 15,500, my cost for the fit was 14,200 which included the Honda care pkg till 100,000. When they took off the extra 1,300 from what I owed...well life is good. Not only saving money each month on payments but Gas as well. I was gettin around 23 avg mpg w/Ele. My first tank on the fit scared me it was so awful...25mpg eww....2nd fill jumped to 31...last fill 35.1 woo hoo...just had to break in a bit.
thay gave you 5520 for your 99 DX WHAT?! lol i have a 99 DX hatch when i bought it, it was mint and i only payed 3000 for it lol why did thay give you so much?
It pays to know the general manager of the dealership. My civic had only 62000 km. It had a few modifications but they were all done through the dealership.
