Best Place to get a Fit?

Hello,

I've decided to get a Fit but now I need to find a good place to purchase one.

Is it cheaper to purchase it from a local dealer in Calgary (Canada) or drive down to the US and purchase one there? If local, does anyone knows which is a good dealer in Calgary?

Thanks.

Unlike on other high end cars its not really worth driving really far for a Fit. Because, nobody give that much of a discount. Say your buying a new BMW 335i, your close dealers are all asking at or around MSRP but a dealer in California is letting them go UNDER invoice! Thats worth the drive/flight cuase your going to really save money on your 45k$ car. But on a Fit nobody really lets them go under MSRP and if they do maybe a tiny bit. So just go around your local dealers find a salesman that you like and try to work a deal, thats my best advice.
Good luck on your hunt!

Thanks guys for replying. The reason that I'm interested in getting a fit from the US is because the current exchange rate is about 1 to 1 ratio but the the price difference ranges from $1000 for the DX and $4500 for the SPORT.

The drive from Calgary to Great Falls is 5 hours, so for a day of work, if I can save a few thousands, I would take the bus to Great Falls and purchase a Fit there and drive it back.

I have heard that some Honda dealers are told to don't sell to Canadian, is it true? Has anyone drove down there to purchase a car recently?

You'd also want to check that your warranty would still be valid if you purchase a US car and bring it back to Canada.
