One one video review posted in the '09 thread, the guy mentioned more left foot leg room, that's a big issue for me.
Most cars lately don't have as much as they gave in the '97 Civic, so if it's got more room, that's gonna be a big factor for me.
Just wait and test drive both.

Also if they worked the suspsension over and it's a better ride, definitely grabbing the '09.
I read an article in the paper that the 07/08s were tough for longer rides, so we'll see about that issue as well.
Leg room shouldn't be an issue with the 07/08 fit because I am 6'4"-6'5" and not exactly a light weight and i have plenty of room.

The front isn't OVERLY bad, but the 07/08s have the edge there.
Although, after looking at these pics, it's starting to grow on me.

It may be one of those cars as mentioned above, that'll look better in person.

But the rest of the car looks better on the '09, and more importantly, the interior quality and options. Love the bigger windshield, just wish the skyroof was an option, but that's government crap.

As well, the video reviewer for ConsumerReports said that the new 2009 Fit had more leg room (specifying the left leg rest in particular), that'll be great if it does have "more".

I also hope the new improved suspension is as big a plus as they're saying it is.

If all the above is true, they seemed to have built themselves a winner revamped Fit.

What do they mean by "one-motion dive-down rear seats" in this article?

It seemed to me that the 08's are one motion drop seats as well...right?

haha. that reminds me of lasts years new car show here, they had a fit. this middle aged couple was looking at it and the husband says "well, you wanna sit in it?". she wasnt tall, but she was on the plus side. she rolled her eyes and sat down for all of 2 seconds. she got out griping about how its too small, not enough room and too hard to get in and out of. she said something about why do they keep making cars for small people.

in comparison, i had a volvo s60 t5 before the fit, which is a mid size luxury sedan. the fit actually seems more spacious inside to me and my wife, and has at least as much leg room. it was also a bit harder to get in and out of.
