Tint
Well, just got after market rims for my nhbp fit ( motegi ff7's 17x7 glossy black ) now my next project is going to be tinting. If you guys wouldn't mind putting up some pics of your cars and letting me know what % your at. Would really appreciate it.
I was looking for some un-molested pictures of my car, but couldn't find any on the laptop. I know it's not a Fit, but it could give you another point of reference. I should have some more pics soon though... right?

Thanks man that is actually the one I found right after I posted this up
I really think that thread should be stickied.
I would strongly suggest you don't go with a tint that's too dark. Darker than 15% would be too dark. My old Camry, which is my daughter's car now, has 5% limo reflective tint all around, and a 5% strip, 8" wide, across the windshield. I had it done by a local guy, and he did a good job. But MAN, it's like driving a panel truck, especially at night. So, in my opinion, it is not only a police-magnet, but also a very real safety hazard.
It sure helps out the A/C, though.
My current car, the Fit, has 20% rear, 35% front, and a 6-inch-wide 20% strip. It isn't that easy for folks to see into, it does help the A/C, and it isn't dark enough to piss off the local gendarmes. And I can see where I'm going! I like it much better than the limo tint. Take it from me, having had both, I know what I'm talking about. What really counts is getting good film and a good install job. Mine is 3M film, and it's good. Total cost was $230 for all nine windows, done at a shop in Panama City, FL, by two chicks.

I suggest going with legals. I just took off my tints on the FIT because i got a ticket for the front and back
. I always had limo on all my cars but i just got tired of getting hassled by cops, especially getting two non moving violations for tints. it will get expensive down the line. Trust me, I am speaking from experience.

Well, my brothers friend used to get them, but it I think it really depends on how you drive or what your driving around here. If you got a record you are more likely to be pulled over and given the ticket just so they can check on you. Other wise if your driving like a nut and they pull you over they might just give it to you to add onto list of tickets.

It's a craps shoot, but i think you would be best off with a 35% all around for safety and 5-0 purposes mostly.
