Big time cargo....

Got a surprise this weekend. Can't remember what Fit brochure I got the number from but there was supposed to be 140cm length of cargo space with the seats down and I needed to take home a dining set that's 54 inches long. Now by may calculations, 140cm is only ~47 inches so I figured I'd have to prop the tailgate open, break down the chairs and maybe use 2 cars to get it home. Man was I wrong, with the front seats in the normal position, there was well over 58" of cargo length and we got the table in just fine, plus all the chairs without taking them apart, plus a week's worth of groceries. On top of that, there was no lag despite all the extra weight in the car! There's no way a Yaris could have done that! CN: Thanks Honda.

1cm ~ 0.394inches

140 cm is about 55.1 inches, so your calculations were off a bit.

I never doubt, except the obvious, my Fit and what can fit inside

Love mine for that too, I caried both my brand new toolboxes without touching the front seat and they were in their original packaging and with them one on top of the other, they are about 6 feet tall.

I also carried a couple 7 feet long 2X4 with a huge 80 pound punching bag and it didn't affect the car at all.

I plan to buy a 42 inch tv this summer and hope I can fit that in the little guy

Was that with or without the box? Hmm... I still have the box for my 42" DLP, Maybe I should try it out myself.
