Freed: Fit minivan

Freed, the Honda Fit-based minivan, released in Japan - AutoblogGreen

I can't believe it's powered by the same 1.5L haha. That must be the most fuel efficient minivan ever.

Not exactly what I'd call sexy. I know it's a mini-van and all, but... it looks like a big door wedge on wheels. Interesting dash layout, though.

I doubt it'd be very popular in the States, but one never knows.

The shell looks like they combined the front of the '09 US Fit (which I don't like) with the back of an Element (which I really don't like).

I don't know what it is with the styles Honda is using for their vehicles in the last couple of years; I don't like the look of the Civics since the 2006 model year, either. It's making me glad I got my '08 Fit, even if the basic style is over five years old.

I did like the instantaneous mileage meter in the dash though; it looks like a metered bar, which you can interpret more easily than a numeric readout when you're driving.

Drop one E, and at least the name would be cooler.

If you take out the four seats in the back (why is it not seats for 5 person in the back?), and put up a safety wall behind the front seats, it would be a great transport van. I could even exchanged it for my little Toyota Yaris Verso that I have as a work-car today.
Toyota Yaris Verso is the smallest car you can get with green lisence plates in Norway. Green lisence plates = 2 seats only and made for cargo transport here in Norway. This Honda Freed seems very large, the rear end looks like the Yaris though... and it is ugly

Good catch...this van only holds one more person than a normal fit.
