Needed: Factory install guide for factory floor mats

I sold my Fit and the new owner has the clips for the floor mat install but I lost the sheet Honda gave me

Does anyone have the sheet or a DIY on installing the clips that hold the floor mat to the floor?

THX

If you want to be a good samaritan, tell them to test fit the rear-right passenger mat before they start punching out the holes. Mine didn't line up.

The front ones are easy, and for the life of me I can't imagine why you need any in the rear - I'd just skipped the rear and they haven't moved at all - Even Honda only saw fit to put them in on one side......

Thanks guys.

The new owner is actually my mom. She had a 98 Accord Coupe with 178xxx miles on it and her mother moved in with her because of old age.

She needed a 4 door and so I offered to sell her my Fit for my current payoff ($2000 less than market worth) if she gave me her Accord for free.

She got financing and I took the Accord and tried to trade it in on a 2008 VW GTI 2.0T but they offered $800 for the Accord (LOL) so I kept it and put $500 down on the GTI.

So now I have a brand new turbo car and a nice beater Honda!

I had no problems installing the floormats at all. Finished in around 10 minutes the first time on my Fit. 5 minutes the second time on my fiance's Fit.

Yep, in hindsight, the hooks in the back are a bad idea. I see why they did it for the rear-right passenger side due to the slope in the floor, but it's overkill and unnecessary.

I didnt even bother with any of the hooks, either on the front or back. Havent had any issues yet.

the mats are easy to install.. the carpet is pre-cut to fit the mats.. i don't see any reason not to install the hooks.. go for it..

I installed all the hooks. IMHO, the rears ones aren't needed, the front ones are. The driver side front mat slid around until I finally got the hook properly installed.

I had trouble getting one of the front hooks engaged. The frame holes for the front hooks didn't align with the holes in the carpet and foam liner. The foam liner interfered with the plate and I couldn't get the hook into the hole quite right. Eventually got it.
