hi. i just installed my fujita short ram intake on my 08 fit and as soon as the install was complete, there is this water slushing noise from the engine it seems like. No lights are indicating any problems on the car and my friend said its because my coolant lvl is low?? can anyone identify this problem, thanks!

 

lol im pretty sure its the regular "intake noise" try revving the car by "blipping" the throttle hard and with the hood open, if the noise you hear intensifies with a distinct "sucking" noise it's definitely normal intake noise

 

when you changed your lines (coolant) was there any leak.

because yeah you might be low in coolant.


but then again you might just be hearing the gas.

 

Low coolant. Heard it after I changed out mine. Topped it off and the noise went away.

 

yeah when i took off the coolant hose, the coolant leaked (alot actually), i guess ill go and top the coolant and see if it goes away. thanks!

 

You are probably just now hearing the gas underneath you sloshing around lol....

 

I'll add another one for: after removing the coolant line it leaked coolant, I too heard the noise. Just top the coolant off and it will go away.

 

Hello I've been reading a few of these threads seeking the answer to my issue and all I can say is that I'm more confused.
I'm running:-

L13a GD1 2002 european sport
iridium spark plugs
fujita 5 CAI
Tanabe medallion G back box (axleback)
J's racing suspension
16" Rota slipstreams 195/45/ wrapped in Yokohama S-drives
Spoon front strut bar (sway bar)

And I get this whirring noise almost electrical engine sounding yet I got my CAI second hand and I don't know why you would be touching coolant hoses??? please expand with pictures. as my setup just entails attaching the intake to the throttle body and that's it really no coolant hose changes that I know
