Does the Honda 6 disk CD changer thats an option for the fit have mp3 playback as well? Meaning, can I load it full of MP3 CD's and play them to the Fit Sport deck?

 

Anyone know?

 

id like to know as well. we have a "changer" button, where's the changer?!? lol. i know my brother's del sol VTEC came with a changer

 

Theres no changer option. I asked a few dealers after noticing the changer button Matt mentioned.

Those that have removed the OEM radio... Is there a changer plug?
If there is I bet any Honda changer accessory will fit into the plug.

The HU on the base Fit (and Sport Fit too) has a standard Honda CD changer socket. I believe it is the HON03 version but double check before spending any money. You can reach it without pulling the HU (at least, I did). I hooked an mp3 player to the socket so the HU thinks the USB is an 11 disk CD changer. There are other I/F units sold that use the same interface for other features.

Any aftermarket CD changer with the Honda interface should work as well. These two links have some pictures and tips:
