Ok, My wife just had our baby, and i am in Ethiopia right now and she is telling me there is no room for our newborn baby and the carseat in the backseat . . . .which is wierd because I am 6'1'' and I know I fit in my backseat fine . . . .any tips or advice I could tell my wife, or just tell her to stop being paranoid and crazy lol.

 

place the infant seat behind the passenger side rear seat.
push passenger seat forward so that the infant seat does not hit it.
this is typical for rear facing infant seats on most cars.

it gets better when your child is bigger and can use the forward facing
child seats.

 

yeah i have a big Graco rear facing carseat in the middle of my backseat
plenty of room for my 9 month old back there and it's easy to get him in and out

i just buckle it from the middle belt thru the base with the carseat locked on top and it works plenty fine for me.
