Stock Sport PSI, What's Everyone Running???

Hey there everyone!!! I'm curious to know what PSI everyone is running in their stock Fit Sport tires. I ask because with the USDM Fits having been around a while, there has to be some sort of agreed upon setting that gets the maximum MPG while still keeping that great handling ability. After about a month of ownership, my tires are in need of being reset, but I'd like to poll the audience and get some more opinions first

HAPPY DRIVING!!!

DAN

arguable

You'll get opinions all over the place. I believe the manual says 32 and the # on the side of the tire lists 51 as max. I tried out 40 cold as a "moderate" setting. The handling and ride are stiffer but I've gotten used to it. Frankly I've noticed very little difference on MPG. By the way there are many threads about tire pressure and you'll find the full spectrum of opinions except, I hope, people advocating running the tires very low. Good luck!

Be prepared for some strong opinions on this matter. I would recommend doing a lot of personal research here and on the web in general before coming to a decision.

Here are a couple of threads to get you started:

i run mine at 50 psi, and until i blow a tire i will continue to run at 50 psi. maybe that's one of the factors behind my recent 46 mpg tank average in my AT.

I run 32 PSI just because I can afford an extra $2.00 worth of gas a week. My wife however let her Ridgeline's tires get low (20 PSI), hit a pot hole and this happened:

60psi here for the last 1500miles, 50psi for the previous 15k and the rest was at 36psi. The ride is NOT cushy. If you want comfort and lower tread life follow HONDA's recommended pressure. If you want better mpg and longer tread life pump up the psi at least to the MAX side wall pressure. I have ~34k on the tires and not even close to the indicator wear bar.

Be OG and roll at 60!

I also rotate and balance my tires every 5-8K. With the increased pressure you will notice supreme traction for these tires.

51 psi here. Did it from the second day I owend the rig. I'm perfectly used to the ride now and don't notice the 'harshness'.
