I've often wondered, was I the first BBP in the Houston area? When was the first BBP purchased? Well it's time to find out. Who's owned their Blackberry Pearl the longest? I bought mine on November 10th 2007. How about YOU!

 

I bought mine last November 19th. (Went to the dealer planning on buying the silver Fit I'd test driven a few days before, saw the BBP sitting next to the silver, and fell in love.) When I took it in for its first oil change, even the Honda service guy remarked on how rare the color is.

 

When the Fit first came out in late 06' every time I went to take one for a test drive all they had were AT. So I put it off for a while. Then right around November 3rd I went by a local dealer to see if they had a MT to check out and sure enough they had one. So he pulls it around and it was BBP. I said "What color is this?" at first I didn't like it. But then I drove it and started to fall in love with the car. So I went to another dealer a few days later and told them the only color I will buy is BBP so they had to bring my car in from another dealer on the north side.

 

maybe you're the first on these forums? but i don't think you'd ever know for sure if you're the first in the houston area.

 

I know. But it's as close to my question as I'll ever be able to get.

 

If you ever see a crazy lady waving at you, you'll know it's me! There aren't but a few BBPs around Houston, I've never seen one on the road. What side of town do you drive on?

^^^ I live in Clear Lake. I've seen two other BBP's in my area but I don't think they get on here.

 

2008? Did you also buy a Delorean and go back to the future?

 

Not much help in figuring out who was first in Houston, but I think I was one of the first in the DFW area. I picked mine up on October 20, and there were only a few others at various dealerships in the metroplex by that point. Most were automatics, or had been jacked up with tons of add-on crap that I didn't want. Including mine, there are only three that I see regularly in Fort Worth. Kind of nice being unique. Used to be able to say that about any Fit, but it seems like there are more and more on the road every day.
