Keep the Freaks apart

Let's separate the 07s from the 08s too

WTF? What happened? Did I miss something?

This happened without any feedback from the members, at least they didn't ask me! And I think putting us apart like this is going to end the forum. I have to post 2 times with the same post to make sure all the Freaks see my question!

I am a noob but I have an '08. I don't care how many people buy '09s - I am glad people want it! It means other small cars will be built and sold. I'm just happy I found one of the last BBP Fit Sports in the country!!

Please answer the poll and then maybe the mods will reconsider.

 

no offense to anyone but the sooner you split them up the less problems we will have.

on the toyota site they kept gen 5 and 6 together now it's all shit there.
every time some newb is on or someone who doesn't search is always
in the wrong place creating a new thread. at the same time the thread
has been beaten like a dead horse about 20 times. lol

the faster we keep them separate the less confusion for all when posting.

 

It's already been done. Some threads are here, at Fit Talk, some are at '09s, and some are at '08s. I guess you'd fall under the last option!

I want it to go back the way it was. But I am just one freaker and a newish one at that!

 

we need to keep everything seperated. There are oing to always be questions on will that fit on my 08 fit when its only for 09's plus like someone else already said there is going to be so muh bullshit with multi threads open and right now if a newb got on its fairly easy to learn. if you merge the 1t and 2nd gen together th new people r going to be up a creek.

 

Definetly keep them split.
Its much more orginized this way.

 

i think we should keep them split, it will be much less confusing down the road when people start to modify their GE8s and jumgled information is being shared.
i DO think they should reorganize the order of the sections like this:

Fit Talk
1st Gen
2nd Gen
Fit Pics and Vids
...and keep it the same from there on...

 

Both generations are cool but we should keep them split so as to avoid confusion as to which Fit we're talking about. This is beginning to seem like politics in that even "my side" is pissing me off. I think in time we'll all come to terms with what we have and realize that they're both very cool!

 

Yes they will stay split because it will keep it organized and keep gen specific questions to their proper area. This is how it is on all websites. Gens are seperated for organization.

 

i was actually thinking about this issue while showering this morning.
At first I voted merge them, but after reading the comments, I would have to agree that keeping them separate is probably the best way to go about it.

I think the formatting that Tofuman proposed would be best. Hopefully it would rationally suggest that general posting goes under "Fit Talk" and model specific stuff, such as mods etc, would go under the appropriate listing.

 

I like this idea, but maybe you could name it "General Fit Talk"..just my two cents
