The Fit/Jazz only comes with regular SOHC vtec NOT i-vtec anywhere in the world. People get confused because of the i-dsi and add the i to the vtec not understanding the significant difference. As far as I'm aware all the i-vtec engines are also DOHC. Be nice to see hyper vtec on cars too.

Thanks vividjazz for the clarification.

after a bit of further researching,i found out it's actually a cheaper version of Vtec (aka Vtec-E), which means the second intake valve only functions when vtec kicks in. Correct me if i were wrong.

Its not so much a cheaper version but a different purpose. Vtec-e emphasis is on economy (hence the e) rather than performance and is appropriate for this vehicle but obviously not for a NSX.

1.5 vtec cvt is top model in CHina but doesn't have the signal light on the folding mirror.

True all the vtec copies that have come along from other manufacturers still aren't a patch on the original and best.

VTEC and CVT are what mechanically set apart the Jazz/Fit from every other small car.
