Paint splatter on alloy wheel

Hey guys, I had my Fit in the body shop recently to repaint the back bumper, and I noticed some small spots of VBP that they had splattered on my stock alloy wheel.

Any advice on getting it off? Is there some sort of clear coat on the wheels that would be stripped off if I used paint thinner/acetone? I'm afraid to take it back to the shop for fear that they'll mess it up further.

I would say this is the time to sand them down and repaint them any color you want

I have stated this product many times, and I should be a salesperson, but AFTA really works well for lots of things. Should take the paint off and not harm the wheel. I recently used it on my laminate flooring after a spray paint can fell off a shelf and punctured a hole in the side and sprayed all over the place.

Make the shop remove the overspray. The wheels are clearcoated. You might try a claybar but that would cost you whereas making the shop do it better be free.

Thanks, guys. I just wanted to make sure there was a clear coat so I can tell the shop about it, in case they tried to strip the paint off with something that would take the clear coat off, too. I think I'll take it back to them. They always give me a free wash/wax anyway.

Unfortunately I like my stock silver wheels, so I doubt I'll paint them!
