depends where you go. Anywhere from $199-3000 depending on the quality.

I think it's more like 5K for OEM quality. You might want to just consider REALLY dark tint and live with the color.

yeah seriously, you'd think this was a place for people to come with these questions. ...maybe that's just me? you had plenty of time to answer it... seems like it gave you something to do.

I'm not sure how much a repaint would cost, but it may be a better idea to trade your car for another Fit in a color you like?

i paint cars, and a overall paint job START at 2500 and that is not including doing the jambs, then you have the engine compartment and that just depends on how far you wanna go into it(pulling the motor and other items to make it clean) your best bet is like claytons15 said trade it. if you were to bring the car to me and the body was in perfect condition to do a all over with engine bay and jambs done you be in it for around 7 to 8k.

How about a trade for a used 07 or 08 Fit? They're hard to find, but they are out there.

I was told from $4-5000 for a repaint from Honda, and they probably send it out to a paintshop anyway. That's too much money to make it worth your while...

As I see it, you have 2 choices - suck it up and be grateful your parents gave you the car OR find another car you like better and sell or trade the Fit in. Will your folks be annoyed if you sell the car? Why didn't they trade it in if they didn't like it? How many payments have they made? Is it almost paid for? If it is like half paid for, I suggest you remind yourself of your parents' generosity for just giving you the car. Drive it, finish paying for it, and trade it in on your next car.

Live with the color, use the money for mods or toys. No real need to repaint a new car unless it really needs it.

But as mentioned in above threads. Price ranges from $1K all the way up to $10K and more depending on how custom/color you want it.

typically for a full car paint job done properly (meaning taking a lot of
the bits off the car before repaint for a factory-like finish) it would be
anywhere from $5k to $10k.

i would even recommend you take it to a restoration shop and not
your typical collision center that does work for insurance companies
as fast and cheap as possible.

HAHAHA...OEM for any other car on the planet maybe. Anyone charging 5k for the paint quality that came with this car needs to be shot.

It's just color man. You should be glad you got a different one than everyone else. If you're insecure enough to get sad when someone ridicules you for having a lame color, then maybe you should get a v8.

as said b4 good paint is mad expensive... you could go to Maco and get it done for 200, it would look like anus and be really shitty, if you wanted to just do the parts you see from the outside (not door jam or engine bay) you could prolly get a decent spray for 3 grand.... but for tht money id rather have the TBM and drop the kraftwerks SC in it.... nothing wrong with an aqua blue sleeper!
