Me too. Drving fast in the Fit is overrated.

I constantly get around 33-37 depending on how mych hwy/fwy I drive during the week.

That seems way to low for those speeds. I have done alot of trips on my fit. Like CA to FL/FL to OK, back to Tampa FL. I average at least 36 more around the 41-43 mpg. My last tank was all city driving and it was 41.8MPG and my fit has 8,500 miles on her right now. The lowest MPG i have got yet was around 33-35MPG.

If u keep the RPMs below 3500 u will see upper 30s and low 40s for MPG. Just keep the speeds 65 or below and watch how ur MPG will go from low 30s to low 40s

I can understand where when you drive 60-65 MPH, you gas mileage is great. I was following a friend on Wednesday and at least half the time, we were going 60-65 MPH, and my ScanGauge went into at least the mid-30s on average. I have a X-gauge set up that keeps track of the average MPG on that drive (unless the engine is off for a very short period of time, then when I start it up, it does not reset).

Even with that said, on my last road trip, even going 70-75 MPH in places and in some hilly areas, I achieved an average of 36-38 MPG with an AT the whole trip.

I probably won't be doing another road trip like that until Thanksgiving, but can't wait to see what it does then. It should be cooler weather by then, and I have that short ram intake under the hood. In the cool mornings, I do notice a power difference. We'll see what happens with a highway drive on a cool morning.

Shift from 2.5K-2K and go the speed limit or below and you will get great mpg.
