Deposit
My dealer just took a deposit from me today - I'm number one in line for the Fit Sport model
at the dealership.
They also say that Honda may give them more info shortly on accessories including pricing.

SWEET!
I was really enthusiastic about this car, but I really would like to sit/drive one before I put money down.
I am actually at a point where I am starting to amass too many hatchbacks! I need to finde a home for my EP3 Civic SI and my '06 Reno before I get a fit. Thankfully my girlfriend is quite understanding being a hatch driver herself--she has the Mini.

After what I saw in Detroit this past weekend Honda has it wrapped up - now if the crystal ball is right about upcoming demand for smaller cars I think I better be looking for some Honda stock on the NIKI exchange
Congratulations, Jonnidee.
EC Transplant, I drove a rented Fit (Jazz) in Thailand for a weekend, and it convinced me. Granted, I am unable to compare it to much else, but for me (2 1/2 previous Hondas - one was a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo). I probably won't be looking anywhere but Honda when I move back to the U.S. in December. I am a manual transmission junkie, and had previously rented a Toyota, which from what I have seen might be very close to the Yaris (speedometer in the center of the dash, about the same size as the four-door, etc. The Toyota had a manual, the Honda had the CVT-7. Despite my absolute and perhaps neurotic hatred for auto trannies of any sort, the overall feel and quality of the Honda was lightyears ahead of the Toyota. It was fun to drive, where the Toyota was a chore.

Either the Storm Silver or Lunar Mist - 5 speed AT sport - got a major hardon over those stupid paddle shifters.
My bike is a Suzuki Burgman 650 and it's CVT auto simulates a 6 speed via a rocker switch on the left handelbar controls. I play with that stupid thing all the time looking for better performance or mpg's. Sure I'll be doing the same with the Fit pseduo - man-u-matic!

Jonniedee,
My bike is a Honda VFR400RR. I just got it after going almost 6 years without one here in Bangkok. It's great to be on 2 wheels again. It's painted in the Repsol Team colors.
I haven't seen the Lunar Mist. The Storm Silver tops my list. Good luck, and post pictures when you get it.
