Fit on Honda.ca, Finally!!!

The honda.ca website now has the Fit on it (in-full)! No more mini-site, all pricing, accessories etc.... !

Thanks for the heads up... No surprise but the interest rate is too high for leasing or purchasing (albeit typical Honda rates for a new model). I guess that is what happens when the car is so new.

O_O

I just priced a Fit sport manual with about $1800 in add-on goodies (16" wheels, bumper applique, etc) and it came to the same price as a Civic Si. Am I missing something? I would think a plain vanilla Fit sport would NOT be only $1800 less than a Civic Si.

You do know that these are Canadian prices right... or does the US site now have the payment area.

What are the numbers you came up with?

Even if you were talking about the Canadian pricing, the Fit and the Civic are two totally different cars. Apples and oranges.

Did you guys expect Honda to bring the Fit to North America and price it in a way to kill the Civic sales? The Fit will get people into showrooms, and 7 out of 10 people will end up leaving with a Civic for a bit more money.

I have to disagree. I drive a Civic right now, and I will replacing it with a Fit. I had a 1990 Civic Hatchback and I really miss it. Also, with the money I plan to put down, my payments will be lower with the Fit.

Both prices were off the .ca website. Nothing up on the U.S. site yet. I honestly expected a larger difference between a top of the line manual Fit with a few options and a top of the line Civic. So... If I change it over to U.S. prices, the base Civic Si is $20,000. The would mean a Fit Sport manual with 16" wheels, bumper applique, and fog lights should cost $18,200 (not including installation fees). The Fit is a nice commuter car, but $18K is out of the price range I'd imagine it to be in. Yeah. apples to oranges and all that. Still more than I think it's worth.
