What The HELL Color Is Lunar Mist???

Is it more light green or light blue? The car on the Honda website looks teal or it might be my monitor. Post a pic if you have one! Thanks!

Check out the US brochure posted in a different thread...

Still kind of murky to my tired old eyes whether it's light green or light blue, but when I told my dealer I was concerned about how dark the storm silver might be (he doesn't have the brochures yet, darn it!!!), he said I could transfer my deposit to the Lunar Mist with a blue interior...so I'm guessing it's more in the blue family.

Blue interior? The color card I saw showed the only interiors available are beige and black. The Lunar Mist interior is beige... and a very light beige, at that. No blue. Not even in Canada (they swap the beige for grey).

Well, now...that's what I get for "trusting" a salesman ("You want a blue suit, let me turn on the blue light! )

That reminds me of the color of the Fit they show on the US Honda Homepage. They've adjusted the image hue, so the storm silver looks more like a steel blue... but it's not. It's really a metallic charcoal color.

From the naked printed brochure to the naked eye, Lunar Mist seems more silver/gray than blue to me (and personally I don't care for the dullness of the color). In the photo I agree it does appear to have a nice blue sheen, perhaps enhanced by the surrounding blues in the picture.

Is lunar mist bilver? The cross between blue and silver that is available on the Civic. My hybrid is that color. I can never remember the name so I just call it bilver.

In the hondanews release of 1 April, (http://hondanews.com/CatID2150?mid=2...54139&mime=asc)
the photo is Vivid Blue, yet in the text on "Exterior Colors", instead of Lunar Mist, it mentions "Sirius Blue" which is a Jazz color (check www.honda.ch or www.honda.it). So maybe they're the same, in which case it's bluish.

That's a classic line for some reason!

Lunar Mist

Lunar mist is light blue. I saw it in person at the Washington Auto Show. It's definitely more blue than silver. It was my first choice of colors until I found out my dealer had a Storm Silver on the way, so I changed to that.

Guess I'll just have to wait until it arrives and I can see it in person!

Looking at the US homepage photo at http://www.honda.ca/HondaCA2006/Mode...etBrochure?L=E, the colour seems to be Alabaster Silver Metallic (a Canadian colour). Note the 'blue windows' where they didn't remove the tinting.

That's more of a storm silver IMO. The Alabaster silver is so similar to the colour of the alloy rims.

I do not know what lunar mist is but to me it looks alot like Opal blue pearl found only on the Civic hybrid. Check it out maybe that will help you.

Didn't actually see the color card, but the finance manager gave me the slick little Fit booklet...and I'm more confused than ever!

On a left hand page it looks like what you call "silver", on the right hand foldout page facing it, it looks like a light blue metaillic, and on the color wheel (like what nodirtycargirl scanned) it's a light green metallic!!!

I've emailed the dealer for clarification (yeah...right!!!), but will probably have to wait until their first allotment is delivered in the next 2 weeks with mine in Storm Silver and the option of the Lunar Mist if no one has spoken for it yet.

And the drama continues.....

That is pretty much what it looks like. It's just a slightly different hue. Very close though...

And to add more confusion, you gotta factor in as it ages the environmental fall-out which should add another hue.
