I bought mine tonight, silver MT.
Coggin Honda of Jacksonville was trying to sell a black one to me for 16,720. That was after I saw the sticker that said 15,720. I told them to keep their car and I went to Cassat (Duval) Honda of Jacksonville instead and got the car for 15,795. I thought that was a pretty good deal. Can't wait to pick this baby up. I am hoping I get a phone call tommorrow!!!

Dealer told me Honda instructs them to hold until the official release date of April 20. Dealers who release sooner are doing so against company policy. They have to log their cars into software that Corporate provides, so I can't understand how they can release them -- my dealership gets their software at midnight tonight. They made an appointment with me at 9 AM tomorrow to complete paperwork and let my Fit out the door!

Dealerships release cars all the time without having the back end stuff done. They do it sometimes without having all the financing worked out and then when it gets denied the new owner needs to take it back to figure out other financing or return the car. The dealerships that are releasing the Fits already probably won’t log it until tomorrow.

anyone else on the list here from Texas?.....what is the scoop with dealerships here in TX? I figured because the state is so huge (dallas, houston, san ant) that the 60+ honda dealerships would get a large shipment of them in. anyone know? i have not heard from my dealer yet. they only got one in last night (not mine!) boo.

You stink! Not fair.

There are tradeoffs - how long do you spend in rush hour every day? 5 minutes for me, and that is if I walk.

While, I usually don't go in to work until noon or so thus my drive is only fifteen minutes. However the same drive could be an hour easily during peak times so I see where your going. I would much rather have to drive five hours every few years to buy a new car then be stuck in traffic my whole life.

Yes, the traffic in Dallas is a pain. I would love to walk/bus/bike to work, but the DART system here is laughable and there are no bike lanes (bike at your own risk of getting hit by a giant truck). Speaking of giant trucks, I figured the demand for the Fit would be less in Texas in general just because more people here like big cars and trucks and hummers. Which is also laughable. I wouldn't drive in downtown Dallas in a Hummer. Makes me shudder to think of how anyone does it. We'll see. Still no word...

Where is Round Rock?
My guess is the big Citys get the first wave of Fits. Smaller Citys have to wait.
