Just checked my tire pressure today, set at the dealer... it was 50psi all around, cold. I'll lower it to 40psi tomorrow and check the noise level again.

Cars that are imported have high tire pressures set at the factory. It's set high because there's a tendency for some freshly mounted tires to lose pressure, as well, it cuts the risk of underinflated tires in the journey from factory to dealer lot.

Many dealers cannot fathom the concept of using a digital pressure guage and setting tire pressure. This is a fact of life. Always check tire pressure upon vehicle delivery. Everybody should have a bicycle pump and digital pressure guage.

BTW, if you ever are shopping for cars, before you decide to purchase, you owe it to yourself to take a bicycle pump and digital pressure guage and set the tire pressures per specs before going for a test drive.

This can make a huge difference if tires are at the factory setting.

Steering very light and resposive. This will massacre any other car in city driving. Its so easy to drive. Civic was noisier to me.

Seats are firm and comfortable but no height adjustment.

Civic feels more luxurious but Fit delivers.
There is no comparison between the civic and the fit. They are in completely different universes. The fit is an econohatch and the civic is a middle of the road compact sedan. There is no substitute for the civic's 1.8L 140hp engine -- you really notice it on the freeways. There is also less road noise in the civic. If you absolutely need the cargo space go with the fit, otherwise the civic is a better choice. Love that 2006 civic dash!
