Question Extend Front Seat

I looking for an aftermarket kit to extend the front seat rails and get it furher back 3-4 inches. I'm 6'5" and the Fit has great head room but just not enough leg room. I didn't buy it, it's my ex-wifes and she left so I've been driving it and like it.

Any help is appreciated. I'll get it done custom if need be.

Regards and Thanks,
Deryl

I hope you have long arms too.... I am 6'2" and have to drive with my arms fully extended if I tilt the seat back much at all.... I have a cousin that is 7' tall that drove tiny Korean built Ford hatchbacks for years, but the seat was tilted so much when he looked to the side it was through the rear windows.... Asian built cars aren't sized right for Nordic sized people and the same is true for their motorcycles. I hope the best for you in making your Fit fit.

Good thoughts

I'll have a 2nd look at it B4 going ahead with any modification to the front seat. As you've suggested, it could be a problem to comfortably reach the steering wheel. As you described your 7 foot cousin, I may be lined up with the post instead of a window.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts,
Deryl

LOL what's so funny? I meant: If he manages to modify his seats to pull back a few inches, then he can compensate by pulling the telescoping wheel back a few inches as well... and hence, reach the wheel.

I was the one that brought up the steering wheel reach problem. You must of missed it, or his post would have made sense..... On first generation cars it is a long reach with the seat scooted back unless you set the seat back at 90 degrees or more forward.

I am only 6'1", and I wish the steering column would extend further, and I don't even have the seat all the way back. Good luck to ya!
