Lock yourself out

I just got my Sport blue Fit yesterday and I love it. However I was reading through the manual and it stated that if the key was left in the ignition of the car and you tried to lock the doors they would not lock also it chimes when the driver door is open so its impossible to lock your keys in the car while they are in the ignition. This is very cool to me because on more than one ocassion I have locked my keys in the car with them still in the ignition. If anyone wants any other info in manual or pics just ask and i'll get it asap.

Ohhhhh cooool, I though that you could lock yourself out. I was amazed that Honda took that feature away. On most cars you have to lock the drivers door from outside. I guess reading the manual is a good thing. I'll have to test that out tonioght, with the window open incase you are wroung.

Oil info

There is a lot here so i'm going to do it in several posts
"To see the current engine oil life, turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position, then press and release the Select/Reset knob repeatedly until the engine oil life indicator appears."

"If the remaining engine oil life is 15 to 6 percent, you will see the engine oil life indicator every time you turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position. The maintenance minder indicator will also come on, and other maintenance item code(s) for other scheduled maintenance items needing service will be displayed below the "OIL LIFE" message. When you see this message, have the indicated maintenance performed by your dealer as soon as possible."

all of the other codes in the system are displayed in the same location when they are needed so all you need to do is just take it in for service when it tells you to and your dealer should reset the codes after the maintenance. Hope this answers your question on the maintenance issues.
