My first full day with my fit

09,S,MT,StormSilver

I drove 127 miles in all traffic conditions.

I cruised at 65-70 mph (with cruise) for the majority of my highway driving with the air on. Computer said 44-47 mpg...which ive read, reads high.

I am not keeping track of overall fuel mileage for this tank of gas, because ill give it a bonus tank to warm up with.

It also held all my video/audio equipment with the rear seats folded flat with 0 issues/problems.

Coming from a pig of an SUV before the fit feels extremely light, fun, and sporty.

We got the same car at almost the same time.

It's great, ain't it!

Probably only put about 30 miles on yesterday, work and back, but such a nicer ride than my old F150.

You might want to watch one thing though, first 600 - 1000 miles, try not to use the cruise control too much. You really want to be varying the RPM's as much as possible, without running an extended amount at one particular speed.

Of course, if you're bouncing your speed up and down with the cruise every so often, then you're good to go.

Might want to give this thread a read for more break in info if you haven't already

And almost as good if not better is the fact that you covered 127 miles and the gas gauge barely moved! Welcome to the site BTW.

Had mine since mid May. A few trips and some around local driving. At 4000 miles I am getting 39 mpg with mixed driving....good in my book for a car that has the room this one does. Congrats and enjoy!
