Problems with Reverse?

hmm...I don't have any problems at all...try going into 5th first and pulling str8 down. (make sure you're not moving forward first lol) like F&F...lmao...that movie was so BS. *cough cough*

That little grind when you don't engage reverse is normal. I just do what everyone else does and shift into 4th and then pull it into reverse. I find this normal because Reverse gear is a spur gear, thus the gear isn't curved like the rest of the forward gears. Therefore you'll notice a whine when reversing fast.

My 06 subaru impreza is impossible to get in reverse almost every try with out putting into 1st gear first----apparently it is normal.

What works for me is putting it back in neutral, fully depress and repress the clutch, then put get back into reverse.

There are no synchros on reverse (don't need it). It's actually a gear slipping in between the main shaft and counter shaft. Usually, it's just a little misaligned. Doing the neutral, clutch out and clutch in will work. Another method... try shifting it into some of the other gears just to budge it just a little for that little cog to fall into place (while still have the clutch in).
