How so ?
George was inept but not a Communist. He and his administration had no intentions oif running GM "Wait'll GM tries to sell a $40,000 Volt to compete with a $15,000 Corolla". How come Toyota, Honda and Nissan all got hybrids on the market (Nissan's Leaf all electric with 100 mile range) while GM putzes around for a decade and still hasn't made it. The latest appointed GM ringmaster points out he 'knows nothing about cars' and you expect GM to survive? Can't blame George for that.
All the Communist nations who tried to make government run everything hav been a failure: Nazi Germany, Stalinist Russia, East Germany ... (recall the Trabant?)
Can't wait for you to get hold of the increased taxes to pay for universal health care, unemployment, and 'cap&trade' to see if you can still buy a cell phone provider much less a Fit. Can't blame those on George eiuther.
And NAFTA (where all our jobs of the nowunenployed went) passed by Clinton (with a lot of help from Republicans) that our esteemed Congress doesn't care about.
Can't blame George for that either.

And Republicans whodo know just what these cost but can't get from behind 'government vs private' arguments where neither really has much over the other. OK rants over.

President George W. Bush stepped in Friday to keep America's auto industry afloat, announcing a $17.4 billion bailout for GM and Chrysler, with the terms of the loans requiring that the firms radically restructure and show they can become profitable soon.
Memory is a fickle thing.

You're leaving out that Congress loaned to Chrysler in the eigthies and while George also loaned Deroit money to be repaid, h didn't takeover GM, fire the CEO to be replaced by a bureaucrat, fired him, and appointed another bean bureaucrat who barely knows the front from the rear of a GM vehicle. In between GM filed for bankrupcy, Chrysler too and sold to FIAT (there's a hoot). The past had nothing to do with current Congress.
Are you aware that the universal health care plan will cost every wage-earner several hundred dollars a month from their household budget. Check out 'Town Hall counting not shouting' on you tube. I take some issues with his numbers (We believe its $1.8 trillion after deducting Medicare contributiobns spread over less than 80 million wage-earners but the 11.8 will inrease to 2.5 trillion when health care is free to the masses), the tax penalties if you use more than your 'allotment' of tons of carbon foot print thatthe Copenhagen cats are aligning up for you, and the icreasing unemployment as a result of NAFTA.
If you didn't do well in HS math find someone who did to do the math for you. Obama is a Commuist just like he said he was. A community organizer with only speeches but not competence. And the brainwashed with PC masses didn't know better.If Patton had been running instead of POW McCain, Obama would have been swept away.
And yes thats whats wrong with Republicans.

Thats where we differ. george loaned money; obama 'bought' GM. Thats why his administration 'runs' GM. George expected nothing more than repayment. Obamais CEO by proxy and that willad to GM Trabants.And with our tax dollars. sorry, yours.

You're right. But I don't have the same fear that Obama will specify Trabants; he strikes me as more of a Fit man. I see GM churning out Fit clones.
