Fit question...

Hi all...

I have been thinking about purchasing a Fit Sport to replace an aging Ford Explorer. One thing I can do in the Explorer with the back seats down, is that I can fit two mountain bikes in the back with their front wheels off...upright side by side. I was wondering if I could do the same in the Fit.

Has anyone tried to fit a mountain bike or two in the back?

Thanks for any info...

I think I may have found the answer. I found some pictures of a 2002 Jazz in the Fit Pics & Videos forums here from Uran. This is what I was talking about. Now...is the 2002 Jazz similar in cargo space to the 2007 Fit? It looks like it would be.

Thanks again for any info...

Looks like they fit fine in that pic, but it does look like the seats are moved forwards quite a bit.

Picture is screwed

Anyone else notice the left hand drivetrains on the bikes?? I wouldn't trust any picture of the fit with the roof removed...

its fine...

I tried with my own mountain bike, in a fit @ a dealer.

My bike, has a medium size frame (around 17 inches) and I'm 5'10.

It fit fine. A extra large frame or 21 inch with a seat raised really high probably wont fit tho. at that point, just lower the seat.
