Question How hard is under hood self-service?

After two months of trying to find a Fit to test-drive, I finally got behind the wheel today and put my deposit down on a Vivid Blue Pearl Sport AT. In my excitement to actually drive one I completely forgot to check under the hood and see how easy all of the self-service points would be (oil, radiator, washer fluid, air cleaner, plugs, etc.). So how easy or hard is it to get at all the stuff I'll want to do myself?

I really havn't looked at the spark plugs yet, supposed to be good for 100k but everything else is easy to get to.

With such a small engine bay everything should be easy to reach.

Why? It would seem cramped if it was smaller. Smaller spaces for arms and hands to reach.

Most everything is easy to reach. I have not changed my oil but the oil filter appears to be accesible.

Get some Rhino ramps and a floor jack with stands to use on a flat concrete service. You can get to everything on any vehicle.

Hope the oil filter isn't where my old Accord's is, waay back on the back side of the engine block.

Is the oil filter mounted such that when you unscrew it, oil doesn't go everywhere? With an old 1985 Honda Accord I had, the oil filter was stupidly mounted sideways such that unscrewing it spilled oil everywhere.

With my current car, it is mounted such that the open end is on top. A little oil comes out when you unscrew it, but most of the oil just stays in the filter. Hopefully the Fit has that type of design.

Does the Fit have a separate cabin air filter from the engine air filter? I know on some Hondas, that cabin filter requires removal of the glove box, and other contorting activities, usually reserved for "dirty mode."
