Where's the DLC?

Can anybody describe for me the location of the data link connector (the OBD II diagnostic connector)? In my VW it was just under the lip of the driver's dash - no covers or anything - super easy to get to. I looked around some and couldn't find it. Do I need to remove any panels or covers?

In case you're wondering, I've got the VAG-COM tool left over from my VW days and it can read the generic readiness codes on Hondas so I wanted to check it out...

TIA

if you look under the steering wheel section of the dash, you should see it next to the middle ..

I haven't got that far along yet. I'll try it in the next couple of days and let you know.

Hey sillypuddy - yep it worked. Doesn't give a great deal of info like it would on a VW, but it shows DTCs, pending DTCs, and some other good stuff like short and long term fuel trim. I mostly wanted to find the coolant temp - car pretty much runs at 80 c and cooling fan comes on at 98 c.

I used the USB version of their HEX + CAN

I got the CAN version because IIRC I read somewhere that it'll be the required protocol on all cars at some point.
