Gas pressure

when you guys remove the gas cap, does it give some pressure hissing sound?? 'cause my doesn't!!? and i'm kinda worry that there might be some leak somewhere along the fuel system....this has happened everytime i remove it go fill up after the tank emptied...

There is a sensor and a diagnostic message related to this. If there is a leak you will get a "check fuel cap" message on the display that shows mileage, when you start the car. It is typically caused by not tightening the gas cap until it clicks. If caused by a loose cap: remove and retighten cap until it clicks at least once; message will disappear in a couple of days; this happened to me when I got gas at a station where they pump it for you. I think that if you are not getting this message displayed, that you are probably okay.

I filled up my own gas and i tighten it all the way till it clicks...I don't have any error messages, but there should be pressure hissing sound when you open the cap...is this normal for the Fit not to have that pressure?

I can't quite remember the specifics on this so I might be way off. I beleive I have read that in the Fit (and most all Hondas) the fuel system in the Honda is in a vaccum to to prevent the fuel vapors from escaping. So when you open the filler cap you are breaking a vaccum, so this is the source of the hiss. If the fuel system can't be brought under a vaccum you get the warning light. Most of the time this is due to a loose fuel cap and if its not, well take it to the dealer.

Again, this could totally be wrong so if someone else has better info please post it.
