Foul Odor When Driving Uphill

Look at the engine first to identify any potential leaks and then call them and tell them what you just discovered and that you will be coming in to collect a refund on the oil change.
If you suspect leaks tell them you are going to your dealer to determine any damage, then you'll pay your visit.
You can expect them to balk at this, but be strong.

So after work yesterday, I took a look before and after I drove to the NTB to see if there was anything visible in the engine compartment (oil smell, visible oil spotting, etc). Didn't see anything. At the NTB, the manager of the place did not completely concede that there was too much oil - he showed me his maintenance guide and NTB standard practice for fits is to use 5.3L of oil. I find this crazy considering the 3.8L number you guys gave (which was spot on). I did however get a completely free synthetic oil change with new filter, and double checked to make sure the dipstick was within the threshold (which it was). Drove the car up the "notorious hill" this morning and it smelled a little better, but was still there even with the air recirculating, I suspect it might take some time for the extra oil to burn off? I'll keep an eye on everything in the meantime for the next few thousand miles to make sure there is nothing leaking under my car.....

glad he fixed the problem for you, im worried for him and his maintenance guide, no fit uses 5.3 quarts of oil....im not even certain any honda uses that much...maybe a ridgeline? lol give it some time, let us know if the smell starts to dissapear, hopefully the smell isnt because a seal blew and its burning oil.
good luck!

noahinboston drain it out - avoid driving with that much oil at all cost - fill as holy suggests, and always check the level after an oil change.
Is there signs of oil leakage, look under the engine.
Good chance of blowing seals w/ an over fill like that.
My rule has always been to change the oil on a warm engine, and when done keep it shy of the full mark.
A hot engine expands the oil and can push it over the mark. Haven't had enough experience w/ the fit yet, but that is my rule-of-thumb.
Now, holy/roo - take it to the living room_

are you saying you did mods? if so... list them down... check for melted wires (specially lights)... check catback for stuck plastic (plastic bag)...
