Buying a new Fit

What are the prices like, incentives etc. when buying a new Fit from the dealer?

I am wondering if it's even remotely possibly for me to consider buying a Fit for around 13-14k after tax and all.

What are some of the cheapest prices people have paid? Anyone buy a loss leader type from the sunday ads... you know the ones where you show up to buy it and its pink, or has something funky about it, hehe.

I bought my Tacoma like that, my first car. I think it was 10k and normally they sold for about 14-15k

Anyway, just wondering what's out there and if I should only be looking at used.

Thanks,

Will

Hi I am not in the market of buying a new fit so I am not aware of any incentives or current prices. My only advice is do not pay more than $500 over the invoice price, do not go by the MSRP. Ask the dealer or salesman that you want to see the invoice then you can go from there.

Honda is currently offering .9 % interest rate for 5 years on the 2010 models. You need to have good credit to qualify for this. Once the 2011's are out, you should be able to get some good deals on any 2010's left on the lot.

It doesn't seem even remotely possible to get a new fit for that cheap. haha. I went to a dealer today and it was quite sad, the salesman's reaction to my suggestions. I've never been sold less than that at a dealership.

I got my 07 fit when they first came out for 13,500. It's not impossible, you just have to keep hassling them in a nice way. If you get the right salesman who just desperately needs to sell a car you could get something close to that. Don't be afraid to walk away, buying a car at a dealership really is as bad as everybody says especially if you're looking for a bargain.

If anything, go to a different dealerships and see what other prices you get to help you bargain between dealerships.

I bought a 2010 Fit base with M/T 2 weeks ago. The Fit MSRP was $15650. The invoice price is 15,148. DO NOT PAY ANY MORE THEN INVOICE FOR THE CAR. I could have bought the car for $15,039 delivered without any options. I got the all season mats, chrome tail pipe extender, cargo tray and intall mud quards for $15,399 delivered. I refused to pay the $399 doc fee and the $399 theft package with etching on windows so they took it off the price.I also got the 0.9% for 60 months. Left my money in CD at 1.8%.

You did a good deal! When I got mine back in 2007 there was no dealing on the Fit. I was told that they were priced as they sat and they could not offer any rebate or reduce the pricing. I was told if I purchased a Civic they would be able to make me a better deal and a discount. However with the Fit they made so little money off the sale that they could not do better.
