Satellite Radio?
Do you mean a stand alone like an XM Roady or do you mean a wired in series unit like a Pioneer? I have a stand alone in my GD, the reciever is mounted on the hump on the console right behind the shifter. The wires go down through the easily broken plastic at the base of the E-brake. Of course I have an older model car than you do and an aftermarket HU so I can only offer a little bit of help....
satellite installation
I was wondering if there is any way to install the satellite receiver in the dash --so I guess I would need a new head unit.
Could a place like Best Buy install one and still have use of the usb or would I need a whole new stereo unit?
I already have a gps and bluetooth unit and wouldn't want any more wires cluttering.

You can get anything installed for a price. I move my roady from car to car so I just throw the mess on the console and stuff the antenna wire in the top glove box. Wires all over. Gross, huh? Works great. At my age I have to monitor Doctor Radio all the time to make sure I'm not dying of something I never heard of. Or when the plastic surgery show is on I can listen to Elvis. That XM is great stuff.
Cheers.
Cheers.
This is my XM INNO mounted next to the power outlet. Antenna mounted rear of stock fished through the cabin. Car kit includes power/antenna bracket. Into HU via aux cable. INNO pops right out leaving bracket behind and lives playing tunes in the sun-room when not in the car.
