1st or 2nd gen
What is the 5th character in the Vehicle Identification Number? If the VIN goes JHMGD, then you have a 1st gen. if the VIN is JHMGE then you have a 2nd gen.
Another way of telling: If your Fit is the same body as the one in my signature, you have the 1st gen. GD chassis. If not, its a 2nd generation.
