Can't decide GE or GD Fit

So I'm in the market for a Honda FIT and was leaning towards the GE 09+ FIT but after reading more on this thread I just hit a wall. I can't decide between the GD or the GE FIT. I have about 2 weeks to pretty much make my decision on which one to get.

GD

The look of the car grew on me more and it seems there is more aftermarket support for this model.

GE

Car is updated of course with more fancier stuff, but not as much aftermarket support.

I was really looking to pickup a Kraftwerks supercharger for the FIT but after reading multiple threads it appears that Kraftwerks is not making a Supercharger for the GE. GD FIT only. There is a company in Australia that has one out for the GE (Sprintex) but it's not available to the US as of this time and I don't know when it will be available. I could always turbo the FIT, but really don't want to deal with another aftermarket turbo.

I really like both generations of FITs but it is lacking in HP and the GD FIT has a bolt on SC that will boost the HP up to where I would be completely satisfied with power for the vehicle. Anyone care to chime in?

How many test drives have you taken the Fit (either chassis) on?

I suggest you figure out if you like the Fit (as stock), otherwise you might be setting yourself up to just trade it in a short time later, no matter what mods you do to it.

I took an 2011 Sport MT out for a test already and I definitely like the car. It's peppy enough for around town driving, but still want a little more HP for the car. Seeing that the GE doesn't have much support for HP it makes me kind of shiver at the fact that I'll be stuck with a car that can only have a few bolt ons.

I found a 08 GD that I want to go test drive next week and seeing that there is more options for this model as far as tuning goes I makes the GD an option as well.

If it is a daily driver the GE is nicer. But the GD is more rare and ha smore mods available. I have an 07 GD would't trade it for the world.

I have been spending all day on the forums today just doing comparisons and the GD is definitely growing on me more and more after seeing all the other GD's on here. I am just going to have to go look at a GD in person and test drive it. At that point I should have my mind made up.

Depends on what your going for. It does seem like the GD has more aftermarket support. I personally like the look of the GD more. JDM and EDM version of the GE looks so much better than the USDM GE.

get a GD if you want the more classic honda fun.
get a GE if you want more convenience and better looks overall... a more complete car.

i own both... and those are my verdicts.

So what happened op? You seemed to favor the GE slightly.
