Should I be worried?

Ok here is the deal. I went into my Dealer today to get a key made. I ask if they can check the adjustment on my headlights for me and check my coolant while my car is there. The guy that is helping me says, "You can't adjust the headlights. Honda hasn't made a car you can do that on for years. Where did you hear such a thing?" Well I just rechecked and sure enough you CAN adjust the headlights by using those really neat new fangled things called the adjustment screws. Should I cut the guy some slack because mine is the first Fit they have had in the shop or should I run for the hills? Also the key never got made. They said they need to order in Key stock for the Fit, the Element and Accord keys are a different size so they do not work. Now weather this is true or not I have no idea, just figured I would share. Then finally after all this I asked how the coolant was....... "Oh we have to let the car sit for at least two hours before we can check it. Its hot you know." Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

FIND A NEW DEALERSHIP. You know bro, your fit is under warrenty, and you can take it any certified Honda Dealership to get it worked on. ANY certified dealership. That whacknut didn't know what he was talking about. Maybe you should tell him about www.fitfreak.net!

Of course you can adjust your headlights, that's what the adjustments are for...the dealer doesn't know what they're talk'n about...you should go for another dealer...

Did they offer check your blinker fluid levels too? :-P

Me thinks, you need another dealer, one who knows what they're talking about

Good luck

The 'tard probably thought by 'adjustment', you meant how bright they are?? I would have rephrased the question: 'Have them check and adjust the AIM of the headlights'

Sadly he knew what I meant. He popped the hood and asked if I could find the screws. Well being that I am not a car mechanic I didn't know where to look on the light. He also said that pretty much anything you read on the web is a lie. (You Liers!!!) I know now, after about a minute of searching the web where it is. I just hate it when people start to flat out lie to you when they have no clue. Another Honda dealership told my wife once that her rearend was bad and needed to be replaced. They blamed it on her no changing her diff fluid. Well the fluid didn't need to be changed for another 30,000 miles. The problem was a slightly different size tire with AWD. If you want to make stuff up for a living become a writer. If you want ot work for a dealership pull your head out and learn something.

As everyone has said, take it to a new dealer, but first go back to that dealership, find the guy that said they could not be adjusted show him they can, and tell him his ignorance/stupidity lost them your business. He might not care but if you do this in ear shot of the service or sales manager they might.

He's the service guy. He should know if not then he needs to change his occupation. Why the hell is he asking you to look for the screws when it's his job in the first place? He's the one gettin paid for it..

You should report this to the dealership management and get him fired. As for the coolant... he was probably too lazy to start working on it.

Name and shame the dealer so everyone else can avoid them and find a dealer who hasn't had a labotomy.

Take it to the service manager or even higher to the general manager first before blaming the whole dealership. One guys ignorance does not a dealer make.
