your reading it wrong. He said he wonders if its the original one they stated, or if its another one that is already here.

Sorry, poorly worded...JDM is right. I know they are all made in Japan...

...may be a moot point anyway. I'm reading more and more about the paint problem these cars are having at an alarmingly high level. I don't know if I can spend that kind of money on a car that might start peeling after 5 or 10K. Additionally, these cars seem to chip more easily than others.

The Nissan dealership offered me a LIFETIME powertrain warranty for the VERSA - which I know is pretty much an inferior car in most aspects when compared to the Fit...but this paint issue is unacceptable to me.
