So far I have beat the following:

-local kid on a skateboard
-mail delivery truck
-semi at the stop light

You get the idea.

I'm not racing with the Fit.

Yep, I had to slip into "S" mode just to beat the kid on the skateboard.

Oh the shame of it all.

i've beaten all my friends in a long distance race from LA to LV: one pit stop to take a leak, 42mpg, and one tank of gas with plenty left for cruising the strip

jetta with a 2.slow .... and uh, yea. thats about it. i try to avoid 'racing' scenarios. and i dont bother going to a drag strip, stealing run time from other drivers

however, anywhere with turns.... our cars handle themselves quite well, especially with a competent driver. as jcrim can attest to apparently lol

Maybe the driver has zero experience in a race setting of this nature. Maybe the driver is trying to be careful with his limited production $250k car because doesn't want to crash it into a wall since it's a bit more significant of a loss than crashing a $18k Honda Fit that could be replaced with another one at practically any Honda dealership. Bragging about beating that kind of car would need to have a big asterisk next to it.

I'm not saying I wouldn't be proud if it were me (it's not everyday that you can make this kind of a claim), but if I were telling my friends about it and going on the internet to share my story, I'd be quick to point out that more than likely, the driver was either incredibly inexperienced or completely holding back.

So far..

Ford focus following on country road in straight line: lost
Scirocco on highway straight line: lost
15-50 mph sprint with g35 sedan: even

Who knows. The gearing can make it kinda quick at low speeds. Cornering is a different story, with which driver skill, it can outdo most cars on the road and their drivers. Not saying someone with a few skills and a BMW would be left in the dust, but the maneuverability is still better, which makes it more adaptable to street conditions and off camber turns.

Was not an amateur run group, same class as myself. Lambo's don't just show up and get bumped to "oh you has fast car" run group.

so he brought it to a race track. . .

The asterisk is better placed next to his side of the story to explain why the 1.5 ltr honda fit was passing him.

^^^J. Just post that video up here for everyone else to see.

I saw it with my own eyes. J passes the lambo no problem. Of course J is a road racing nympho. The driver lost not the car. Although look up Js car to understand more.

Would public roads be a more appropriate place? The race track is the proper place to have fun in your car.

Perhaps. But again, the fine print pertaining to the asterisk would be one of the reasons I already cited, as they could possibly explain this incident as well:

The final chapters of the Ferrari P4/5

Jim Glickenhaus, a billionaire, drove a custom-built race Ferrari P4/5 at the 2011 24 Hours of Nurburgring and finished in 40th, while the VW in that picture finished around 20th or so. But I don't think he needs to explain his results... he's just clearly behind a lot of other drivers present in terms of skill, despite the huge advantages that his car provides. Or maybe despite being in a race setting, he didn't want to risk his multi-million dollar project to end up as a pile of broken carbon fiber all for the sake of finishing ahead of someone else. Or maybe he needed some

Not trying to take anything away from you -- I'm sure you're a very good driver, and I commend you for being able to pilot your vehicle the way you do. I can't claim having beaten someone piloting a Lambo. But do you have any links? I'm curious about your car, and the link in your sig (other than the one to donate toward a K20) didn't work. Thanks ahead of time.

It's cool, I believe it happened for the reasons you've mentioned.

Makes me remember about some dude in youtube with exotic car doing terrible time on the tracks. He defended himself saying it's his first time and so forth, but eventually proves nothing, since his 2nd & 3rd run still got fairly bad time. Can anybody put up the link here, if you know who i'm talking about.. I try to search it, but can't find it...

Sorry TC, I forgot about your little screamer

Walked away from a Monte Carlo last night. Wasn't an SS but it was still pretty sad for him.

Mmmm I think Texas could take him. Supercharged as he is the power to weight is a little better for the fit.

KraftWerks: Honda Fit High-Boost Supercharger Kit I am pretty sure I have a bit more exhaust flow than the car they did the dyno run with... I was getting bad response when trying to post all day yesterday and never got to post.. I think there is some solar activity that is messing up the air waves..... The high boost upgrade compared to the base kit is amazing... With the base kit you have a fast Fit, with high boost kit you have a fast car.
