That's why you get them in pairs (cars that is) . One to drive and one for parts...

Having bought the Fit for efficiency and utility I cannot answer your question. But it helps that it's cute. Its "speed" does not help.

I like looks with some go fast parts, and some quick turning parts. That's my way.

Personally, I believe that the most important thing is balance. Having a car that looks good, handles well, and has good power is what I call a complete package.

on my GE i like it looking stock. it looks fine. no lowering, no wide wheels. just function like a Fit, use it like a Fit, and it's good to go.

imho it's a waste to put too much money into this car. save it up and get a nicer car next time around...unless you've given up and think this is the best you'll ever own. then dress it up.

More true words have never been spoken.

I can appreciate the flush scene/lowrider scene/drift scene/insert whatever scene, for what it is at any moment in time and whatever trend is currently "in", but a fast car is never uncool, no matter what it is.

So theres definitely more people leaning towards looks rather than speed. But how much are you willing to spend to look good?

How ever much is necessary.

For the Fit, on parts alone a couple thousand.

On a project car, a thousand on a bumper alone is a possibility.

For the Fit, looks I guess. I leave the speed to my MR-S. But does the fit even look good? I always thought it looked a micro van.

Looks, comfy interior, and good fuel economy. As long as it can take a corner quickly and get up to highway speed without getting us killed, it's fast enough. And if we want something faster than the Fit, the Cruze is available. That car isn't much faster by absolute numbers, but having peak torque available far earlier than the Fit makes it notably faster in everyday driving.

The Fit's mission isn't to be fast, it's to look good, have fun with family/friends, and be easy on the go-juice. It does that mission perfectly for us.
