My FIT quit locking the doors 30 seconds after I shut the door. Any ideas on why? Read the maual, but no good info.

 

they aren't supposed to auto-lock after closing the door.

The auto-lock is supposed to activate on one of two conditions.

a) reaching 9 mph (unless you turned that setting off).

or

b) after 30 seconds of unlocking the doors BUT without actually opening any of the doors. (re-locking the door)

if you open the door and then close it, it "disables" auto-re-lock.

 

This is correct.

 

i kinda like and hate this feature. especially when washing the car i hate it.
especially if i accidentally hit the unlock on the fob, i like it.
