Master Lock Door Switch Functionality

2015 Fit EX

The MLDS will not lock the doors when the motor is running but it will unlock. Is this normal? When the motor is shut off, the MLDS will lock and unlock.
I also have a malfunctioning "Door Ajar" warning light - it is constantly on. So the car thinks there is an open door somewhere even though everything looks and feels like they are all locked. Im wondering if this is affecting the MLDS locking function.

It's supposed to lock the doors any time that all doors are closed and the doors are not already locked. Motor running or not. This includes the trunk.

What would happen if the car thinks a door is ajar? I have an issue right now where the door open warning light is constantly on.... In other words, it thinks there is a door open somewhere. Would this issue cause this problem?

Double-check the hatch/trunk to be certain it is fully closed. Mine was "slightly" open, couldn't really tell, except the light re "door ajar" was illuminated. Just a suggestion. If all secure, then must be an issue for the dealer to fix. Probably causes the locking problem, or is certainly related.

This is a long shot, but also make sure the hood is fully closed. My wife unknowingly popped our hood and the door lock function wouldn't give me the confirmation horn beep on the second press of the remote's lock button until I investigated and fully closed the hood.

All the 6 doors are closed (4 doors, hood, rear hatch).
