Gas-saving myths... you decide
Here's my rough calculations based on $4/gal. If you drive like an old lady you may average 36 mpg and your gas will cost you 11 cents per mile. If you drive "normal" and enjoy sometimes getting your foot into it, you may average 30 mpg or 13 cents per mile. If you drive 10,000 miles per year, that's a $3.85 week difference. Hell! I'll gladly give up one coffee a week in order to enjoy driving my Fit.

Your actual numbers may vary according to your age, weight, amount of livestock carried, number of beers consumed, weight of wife,how much your tires cost, wear and tear on suspension, an increase or decrease in blood pressure, number of accidents caused or avoided, weather and atmospheric conditions, alignment of moon & stars, alignment of wheels, wind direction, altitude, attitude etc., etc. Contact your physician for any readings higher than 40 miles per gallon.
