Can anyone recommend a good roof rack (for extra storage) or a bike rack that will attach to the back of the fit?

 

This is for the Fit, not the Jazz. I just noticed this says it's a shared forum for both.

 

Fit/ Jazz = same car, different countries...Do you have the sport or base model?

 

Not sure yet, kind of on the fence between the base or the sport. Leaning towards the sport.

 

You won't be able to use a rear mounted "hang on the back window" type bike carrier with the sport model. You will need to add a hitch and buy a hitch mounted carrier or use the roof.

Hitch is easy to install.

 

I bought a single carrier bike rack for my 2008 Fit sport from walmart and it hangs from the back without a hitch just fine.

 

I have hitch and thule 2 bike rack for 5 years I bought from rackattack.com I think everyone asks me about it i never take it off even in the winter-useful for skis and hanging stuff while getting ready to use bikes.

 

for bike season i use hitch mounted bike rack
winter i use a thule roof rack
