Question Who has the most mileage on their Fit? Plus... any roadtrips?

Hi Everyone...

So we got our Fit late in April, and last month my husband and I took a huge roadtrip around the States, and then drove back home to Calgary. We have 18,500 km or 11,478 miles on our Fit. We were very comfortable in it, and we even fit 4 of our rather hefty relatives in it. We Love This Car!!!

So that leads me to wonder.... What mileage does everyone else have? Also, we're curious if anyone else has taken any big roadtrips in it, and what they think....

Kristie

Just got back from a 2000 mile trip (Chattanooga TN to Auburn NY and back). I was happy and comfortable in the Fit. I had the tranny in M4 most of the way to prevent hunting as this was hilly most of the way (I-81 from east TN through VA and PA all the way to Auburn). I averaged 35 MPG, I probably could have gotten better with the tranny in D, but the reduced wear and tear of being in one gear and not hunting is worth a little less MPG to me.

We went south from Calgary to Montana, and over through N. Dakota and kept going west until Chicago, then headed south to Virginia. Then we left there, and headed through Tennessee and into Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. We were going to keep going through Texas and go west to California, but we were tired of crappy hotels and wanted to go home. But it was a blast!
I don't blame you for going to New Orleans... the food is great! And if you're ever in Memphis, Tenn... go to Interstate BBQ if you like BBQ... it was delicious!

Well the family and I are planning a trip to the northern part of NA with stops in Toronto, Belleville Kingston Ottawa and Montreal. I guess you could call it the 401 Tour.

As for gas mileage so far, we've had the FIT for 1 month now and have about 3200 Miles. The mileage we get is 35 mixed hwy/city with A/C on 3/4 of the time. Its been pretty hot down here in Chicago lately.

We've made short trips of about 400-500 miles roundtrip and so far we love our FIT.

Hopefully on our way to Ontario we'll get better mileage since it will be a straight shot Northeast for us.

Yeah, I was going to mention the destruction down in N'Awlins, but I decided not to. I was really depressed after being there... it's so sad.

I am planning my road trip for the last part of August. Starting in Arizona, I plan to head east through Texas, then north to pick up some White Castle. Back over through Montana, Washington, then down to California and back home. Ihave 400 miles on it now, and will be about time to change the oil when I get back.
