clutch question

not sure if its my clutch or engine but occasionally when i release (engage) my clutch on first gear engine shakes like it almost goin to stall...only happens in 1st gear..even if i add lil more gas on it..but sometimes it runs smooth tho, just wondering why sometimes i could almost feel the clutch engaged..bad clutch?,tranny?...

I get the same on my GD3. I think it's just the weak engine and the wimpiness of the accelerator. You gotta press the accelerator a bit more as you release the clutch. The fit doesn't do so well with very slow 1 st gear starts. It's smoother with a spirited go in first.

If you've got a GE8, it's the clutch delay valve (CDV), if you've got a GD3 - who knows?

a tad more gas maybe?

it could be that your a/c compressor is turning on while you're clutching out. if the rpm is too low, your engine will bog.

yea,i agree with that...and whenever cooling fan kicks in it does the same like losing power..my shifting is fine i mean its smooth except for 1st gear..
