I wasnt a fan of the looks and it was bought due to a combination of car dimensions / cargo room / economy and performance.

But the look is definitely growing on me. In my mind from bleh mini looking insight to not minding it at all.

So far things that annoy me are the idling stop, there is no lag on start up as it starts the engine as you take your foot off the brake. But I just dont like it so turn it off, BUT it resets default to ON again when the car is shut off and restarted.

Also the touch panel air con controls seem overly sensitive and you can easily accidentally turn something on/off by accident (perhaps Im just clumsy) Ill likely get used to if over time or at least I hope so.

Wow yours looks much better than all the official promo pics. Guess it just needed a little drop could you post more pics of around the car?

Im far from any kind of photographer and my phone got a lot of glare from this direction at the time.

other small mods that I forgot to mention which change the look slightly are mugen visors. Also as its the misses` car and she was annoyed that the RS model got the lower spec tail lights, we got the LED piping version tail lights from the Hybrid/15X version fitted.

Inside is all stock except for mugen floor mats (cheaper than the factory option ones and I liked the look of them more)

As I had mentioned before, with the right mods this new fit has potential. I'll keep an eye out on how the aftermarket treats it here in the US.

Yeah... The JDM "shorter" version doesn't look much longer than the USDM GE8... unfortunately when this new version gets here it will be longer.
But that JDM version sure looks better than the previous pics... I love the new side mirrors & indicators. I guess they auto-fold too.

Post up some pics of the new Mugen floor mats, and some interior shots too.
Thanks for sharing, you're officially the first new gen owner on here & the first modded new gen.
Is that the hybrid you got with the auto-stop?

5cm longer than the GE, same width. mirrors auto fold.

We got the RS which is non hybrid. All models come with idling stop standard. It has no delay on starting/moving away from the lights but Im old enough to have experienced crappy datsuns and Chryslers that would regularly stall at lights as they were in bad condition and it was cold etc. So I really hate having the engine quit suddenly even if its meant to.

^^^Gotha, I know what you mean... that auto/idle-stop would get to me too.

Do you know if the new Fits have hill assist (for the Manual transmission models)?

it has projectors, standard on the RS and 15X and some Hybrids.

the auto models have hill assist but Im not sure if the manuals do, I dont think so though.

My company I run here exports parts, dont want to spam these forums as there is likely vendors here already but can help with hard to get parts/wheels that are only available in Japan. Although those Advans cost me a small fortune

The more I come back to check the more I feel like picking one of these up. If only we got the RS package here in the states. We get all the crap. Hopefully this one gets more love then the GE.

Side question, is the chassis considered the GF? If it is and I get one I can finally say I have a GF that doesn't give me $hit or talk back lol!
