Fit 2010 rear disc brake swap - complete euro beam with everything

guys, just received my 2010 sport from u.s. Unfortunately rear beam is bent and it's hard to find in europe parts for usdm fit. But there are lot's of parts from euro jazz. So the question is - if i get complete rear axle from '08-'12 jazz with everything - rotors, calipers, abs sensors, e-brake cables etc - will them bolt on to my fit? will abs work with euro sensors? I need to fix my rear suspension and it would be nice to get rear disc setup. But i don't want drill and weld and fabricate. From various sources i've red that is should directly fit and work - but need to clarify this. Thanks)

oh, thanks for help, now i'm ready to swap axle for european one. there in belarus i can get complete axle for $300 shipped, or even cheaper.

But it will takes two month to arrive for my fit from Texas to Belarus. So i will post pictures of swapping procedure only in the middle or even end of march

Hi make sure the axle you bought had the internal factory sway bar (inside the rear axle),
and also check the condition of the used caliper and disk brake/brake pads,
plus ask the seller to guarantee the used axle you bought is not bend too

sure, i will ask seller for warranty but actually if i'm paying 150$ for beam and $150 for shipping i will have to trust seller))) i will try to find it locally, but i'm not sure it will be possible.

imo in Europe all beams are equipped with sway bar as browsing epc gives me only one part number for entire model range of euro jazz.

also i will certainly check condition of seals and rotors as these parts are dirt chip new there and i have large supplier near me)
i prefer to make these things once and not return to rear brakes anymore, so i will certainly check everything before install.

As Alpina mentioned not only will it fit, but it will be a nice upgrade!
Post pics when you're done.

How much did it cost to ship your car? Are you coming back to the states in the future?

yes, that's the point) i don't really need disc brakes, but as i need to fix my bent beam it would be nice to buy & install higher spec part for the same price)

sure i will post pics, i expect car in the middle of march so right after delivery i will start this swap

well, something like $3000. this includes auction fees, handling, land shipping to us harbor, sea shipping, and delivery from nearest harbor to my home.
Nope, i'm not going to come back as i've never been in u.s.) but i will definitely visit sometime)

btw, i've already swapped rear axle. Euro beam with disc brakes is bolt on and works fine. But I can't say that it stops better anyway) I haven't made any pics during swap as it's really bolt on - you have to unplug and unbolt everything and than put new axle. But if anybody needs pics of it on car -i can make them.

Thats probably because the drums were more than adequate to begin with. In order to stress the drums, you'd have upgrade front brakes first, since they are where most of the braking actually gets done. Then, get better grip tires to make use of those front brakes.

I had thought about doing a drum to disc swap on the Fit in the past, but never thought of it as anything more than for looks.

On my Ruckus, on the other hand, I swapped the front from drum to disc... Before, it was a little terrifying because it felt like I couldn't brake hard enough. Now its just a little terrifying if I pull the lever too hard. Having your front end lock up and slide out while braking???

no i never drove fit so hard. but you are right - fit brakes are more than adequate for it's acceleration and suspension in usual urban driving.
If there are oem combos of bigger calipers and rotors from other hondas- it will be nice to swap fronts. i don't like idea of buying expensive pads, steel lines for stock brake setup. But currently i don't know which parts can be swapped to fit. Also i feel too much of body roll but stiffer springs will affect ride quality.
